| 1. There are so many golf schools to choose from. Why
should I attend America’s Mind Power Golf School? |
There are so many options when a golfer searches
for a top school…searches for a learning environment that will suit the golfers individual needs. There is only one school that actually gives
you the contact information of former students. They welcome any questions you may have, if their game hasn’t raised its level, they’ll tell
you. If they are shooting their best rounds ever…they’ll tell you. Judge us on that. NO other school offers this opportunity to “try before you
buy.”
We teach exclusively with a 1 on 1 and 2 on 1 student to instructor ratio. This avoids diluting your learning experience. This enables us to
customize a program specifically suited to your skill level. We can concentrate on your MIND GAME and your personalized pre shot routine.
Whereas we don’t have a set schedule—you choose the dates you’d like to attend- we do have our day three playing round fall on a weekday.
If you work with our Director of Instruction, Dr. Jason Denaro, you will enjoy an in depth short game and mental game experience that GOLF
DIGEST and GOLF MAGAZINE both rated as one of the best in the USA.
Each of our instructors has been working with Jason an average of 10 years. We pride ourselves of our very personal attention, of being small
enough to customize your program, and always ending the day knowing each golfer has received the ultimate in quality instruction. We can
arrange a variety of luxury locations including Harrah’s Casino, Pala Casino, The
Hilton Garden Inn (Rancho Bernardo) with a special rate for our students, Grand Pacific Palisades (Carlsbad) by Lego Land and Aviara
Four Seasons (La Costa).
For the budget minded there is the Hampton Inn, San Marcos, located just one mile from the school. It offers a low rate for our students. |
| 2. How many students per instructor? |
| We teach exclusively with a 1 on 1 and 2 on1 student
to instructor ratio. We NEVER allocate more than two golfers to any one class, and we do our best to balance skill levels prior to booking. |
| 3. How do I book in my golf school? |
Booking your school is a simple procedure. You can
call our school director Jason Denaro in person at 760 822 2645 and discuss your game with the schools owner. Once we have set dates that
suit, you supply us with your credit card information. We charge a deposit only, an amount of $200 for each student being booked.
The balance IS NOT CHARGED ‘til the week of your school.
We email you immediately confirming your deposit and dates for your school. Alternately you can fill out our
reservation form and our office will email or call (your choice) within hours of your inquiry. |
| 4. I’m attending the school alone. Can you match me up
with another student to take the 2:1 program? |
| If you are coming to the school alone we will do our
best to match you with another golfer of equal playing ability. If we are not able to do this, you will receive 1 on 1 instruction and only be
charged the regular 2 on 1 rate.NO other school offers this service. They
will hold you to a one on one rate for no fault of your own. You do not need to register for the 1 on 1 program unless you absolutely want
your instructor to yourself for your entire time at the school. Remember, our schedule is flexible, we can always find a way to work in with
you, even by changing our daily start time to suit your plans for the day. |
| 5. Do you have classes for beginners? |
| During the almost 20 years that we have operated
America’s Mind Power Golf Schools we have introduced thousands of beginning golfers to the game, family members who have never held
a club. Our patience and success at working with beginning golfers is surpassed only by the level of fun and the permanent friendship we
have forged with the newly hooked golfers from around the world. |
| 6. Do your classes begin on any set days of the week? |
| We have no set schedule for the schools. The
schedule evolves depending on which days are initially booked by golfers requesting dates. You let us know the dates you would like and
we get right back to you and confirm the dates you are after or those nearest to the dates that work best for you. |
| 7. My wife/husband wants to come along and watch
me, but will not be participating in the school. Is there an extra charge? |
| We welcome a spouse, child, parent as our guest
at the school. We welcome them to join in the fun, hit a few if they so choose and of course, there is no additional charge for “observer”
non students. They can also avail themselves of the Twin Oaks Clubhouse. It has a restaurant, pro shop, practice putting area, or just relax
and watch one of the many TV screens in the air conditioned clubhouse. |
| 8. Are you able to assist with accommodation? |
Although our rates are not inclusive of accommodation,
we are only too pleased to assist by booking your hotel on your behalf and forwarding confirmation on to you. We will need to know such
details as check in and check out dates, number of occupants, whether you would like a smoking or non-smoking room, king bed, suite etc.
We will email you with an immediate hotel confirmation number. |
| 9. I may want to stay an extra few days in San Diego.
Should I contact the hotel directly or can America’s Mind Power Golf Schools arrange this on my behalf? |
| We are only too pleased to handle all of your hotel
needs during the booking process. |
| 10. I may not want to travel with my clubs. Are
there rental clubs available? Are you able to do any club work or build custom clubs during my stay? |
| For those golfers who prefer not to bring clubs, or
who are beginners and don’t yet have clubs, we have complimentary clubs at no cost. We also offer an overnight re-gripping service. We
also have a selection of shafts to upgrade your driver and assist in squeezing extra yardage from the “big gun.” |
| 11. Do you have an age limit for junior golfers? |
| Junior golfers vary in maturity. If the parents believe
that their junior is ready for serious instruction, then we are off to a great start, however if the intent is for a “fun few days” of vacation rather
than a 2 to 1 of serious golf instruction, then perhaps a Nike First Tee program with a group of other juniors would be more appropriate. We
have found over many years that juniors begin to concentrate more efficiently on their pre shot routine, mental game and swing positions from
around the age of twelve. It is really the parents call as to the maturity level of their young golfer. |
| 12. Do you have the nine hole playing lesson every day? |
No. Your time each day is needed to burn in the
mental process and learn how to repeat the correct swing positions. Your instructor will actually play 18 holes with you on day
3 of your school, unless a decision is made that the third day is better spent back at the practice facility. Each day consists of
a MINIMUM 4 hours of solid instruction including video and shot making by your instructor showing how and why a dead straight
shot is so easy. In the event that extra instruction time is required, your instructor will remain with you to work on the problem, there
is no extra charge for additional instruction time.
You are at the school to be the best golfer you can be, we are there to facilitate this. |
| 13. What is the nearest airport to San Marcos? |
| The nearest airport is Palomar-Carlsbad airport
which is 20 minutes from San Marcos. The San Diego airport is around 40 minutes drive from the school. We are about one hour and
twenty minutes south of the Los Angeles airport. You will take the 5 south to the 78 East to Twin Oaks Valley Rd. San Marcos. |
| 14. What if we are a threesome? |
| When we have three golfers book together we
still maintain the 2 to 1 ratio. Another of our instructors will share the three golfers. Therefore your threesome will have two instructors. |
| 15. What do I need to bring along? |
| A great attitude, a fantastic sense of humor
and the will to work hard and become the best golfer imaginable. Golf clubs too, but we have clubs should you need them (no
rental fee is charged of course). Also bring sun block, band aids and a couple of hats. A glove for each hand is wise for beginning
golfers. If you are bringing your own clubs, be sure to have plenty of tees and at least a dozen balls. |
| 16. Is there a dress code? Is there a smoking policy? |
| Dress comfortably, no jeans, no tank tops,
wear sneakers or golf shoes, NO flip flops. If you wear shorts, please wear socks as well. If you are a smoker this is fine but please
avoid smoking around other students. Cigar smoking is not allowed on the teaching area or its immediate surrounds. Alcohol is not
permitted. Alcoholic beverage is provided in the clubhouse. |
| 17. What if there is bad weather while I’m at the school? |
| If your school is cancelled because the weather
is too hot or the rain is too heavy to continue, we will re schedule the remainder of your school or a credit will be issued for the unused
portion. We will de our very best to complete your instruction while you are still in the area. |
| 18. Do you charge for a cancellation? |
| There is a $30 office fee for any changes
effecting your school dates and/or accommodation. If you cancel your school 21 or more days before the first day of your school you
will incur a 4% credit card processing fee. This is the fee the school is charged by the credit card facility and is unavoidable. If a school
is cancelled with less than 21 days notice from the beginning of your school, we will mail you a Gift Certificate that can be used within
three months of the date issued. We do not issue refunds or credits to students who fail to show on day one of a scheduled school. |
